Abstract
The study assessed the impact of community-based management of acute malnutrition among children under 5 years of age and its operational challenges. An endline representative survey conducted 2 years after implementation of the Nutrition Rehabilitation Program revealed that the prevalence of global acute malnutrition (GAM) among children under five dropped from 18% to 9.6%, a reduction of 47%, while the prevalence of SAM dropped from 3.5% to 0.7%, a reduction of 80%.
